| Donald Paul Beier, 78, of Clyde died at his home, on Thursday, February 04, 2010.
Mr. Beier was born in Clyde on July 23, 1931 to the now deceased John and Gertrude (Hoffman) Beier. He graduated from Clyde High School in 1949 and had been a dairy farmer for many years and for twenty four years was employed at Whirlpool Corp in Clyde. He was a Korean War veteran serving with the Air Force. He enjoyed playing cards; fishing and attending his grandchildren’s activities. He and Marian were able to travel to many locations, including Egypt; Africa, Alaska and the Holy Land. On trips in the US, they took the grandchildren with them. Don most loved being with his family and the numerous gatherings, especially those that included his wife’s cherry pie. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Clyde and the Sandusky Co. Farm Bureau. On October 30, 1951, he married the former Marian Schwan, who survives along with their children; John (Tamara) Beier, Miami; Sylvia (Jim) Hodgkinson, Colorado; Tom Beier; Mike (Nancy) Beier and Vicki (Ron) Meade, all of Clyde. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Two sisters, Marie Fisher, Clyde; and Marian Mariotti, Vickery survive as well. Don was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Beier and an infant brother, Eugene. | |
