| Russell A. Harper, 86, formerly of Washington Court House and Fremont died at Village Hospital, Villages, Florida on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.
Mr. Harper was born in Fayette Co., Washington Court House on September 5, 1923 to the late Delbert and Lelia Cecilanna (Gano) Harper. He had worked at Whirlpool Corp for twenty five years and was a retired minister. Mr. Harper was a member of the Wesleyan Holiness Church and the American Legion. He was a WWII Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Margaret L. (Johns) Shulaw Harper whom he married on September 11, 1993; one son, Jack (Donna) Harper, Republic; and five daughters, Kresha (Earl) Fields, Friendsville, TN; Phyllis (Ronald) Brooks, The Plains, Ohio; Alice (David) Siebert, Fostoria; Martha (Rick) Crawley, Connersville, Indiana; Linda (Mike) Pryor, Burwick,Ohio; eighteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and five siblings; Florence (Gene) Sisson, Columbus; Norman Harper, Washington Court House; Wilma (Kenny) Bogard, Washington Court House; Eileen (William) Friedley, Columbus; Bud (Mary) Harper, Leesburg, Florida. He was preceded by his first wife, Velda Armstrong Harper, whom he married on December 15, 1945 and she preceded him on February 12, 1993;one daughter, Evelyn Ruth Dixon; one grandson, Jack "Buddy" Harper and one brother, Delbert Harper, Jr. | |
