He was born October 28, 1929 in Sharpsburg, Ohio to the late Dow D. and Florence (Sedwick) White.
Don was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clyde. He enjoyed fishing and spending his winters in Florida. He also loved to play shuffleboard; he was a champion shuffleboard player.
He had worked at Philco, I.T.E. and was the owner and operator of Don’s Carrie Out in Fremont. Don and his wife, Carrie, were full time volunteers at Share ‘n’ Care.
Don married Carrie F. (Shoup) on September 4, 1953 and she survives. Also surviving are their four boys: Tim L. White of Fremont, Ted D. White (Rosemary) of Fremont, Tod D. White (Karen) of Fremont, and Thomas M. White of U.S. St. Croix, Virgin Islands. His sister, Arlene Mettert (Paul) of Sandusky also survives; as do seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
