Mrs. Thurn was born in Estherville, Iowa on July 22, 1941 to the late Charles and Wilma (Calvin) Huffman. She moved to Clyde as a freshman in high school and graduated from Clyde High School in 1959.
Linda was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church; Women of the Church; Sandusky County Fair Board for 33 years; Daffodil Days; helped with the Clyde Food Pantry; and formerly was on the Board of Elections, Sandusky County. She was an avid supporter of Clyde Athletics. Linda had worked at GTE prior to her retirement.
On April 23, 1960, she married Edward C. Thurn and he survives as do their children; Edward Jr. (Kandy) Thurn, Clyde; Jeffrey Thurn, Clyde; Steven (Jenelle) Thurn, Perrysburg; Tracy (Andy) Atkinson, Gibsonburg. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Adam; Ashley;Zachary; Aric; Autumn; Austin; Grace; Raegan; and Madison and one brother, Bob (Donna) Huffman, Diamond Bar, CA.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Myrna Huffman and step-mother, Betty Huffman.
