Frances A. (Matarazzo) Consolo, 71, of Bellevue passed away suddenly Saturday, November 28, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo after comlications from surgery. She was born January 8, 1938 in Medford, Massachusetts, the daughter of Frank and Angela (Guidotti) Matarazzo. After meeting and marrying her husband, William Consolo III of Bellevue, Frances moved to Bellevue. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Frances enjoyed working various part-time jobs in her spare time and was a former employee of the Pamida store, Bellevue Gazette, Sandusky Register, and circulation manager for the Toledo Blade. She also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and volunteering her time organizing events for the former Bellevue Cherry Festival. What she enjoyed most of all was getting together for the holidays to see her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of over 51 years, William Consolo III, whom she married October 12, 1958 in Somerville, Massachusetts; six sons: William IV (Theresa) Consolo of Toledo; Frank (Lainie) Consolo of Akron; John (Melissa) Consolo of Bellevue; Jim (Kim) Consolo of Bellevue; Mike (Wendy) Consolo of Bellevue; and Sam Consolo of Bellevue; 18 grandchildren; her sister, Angela Leona of Medford, Massachusetts; and four nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Michael and Erminia (Ficociello) Matarazzo and Giuseppe and Quindilina (Tornesi) Guidotti; and her granddaughter, Ashley Marie Consolo. | |
