Gyong Cheek, 53, of Clyde passed away at home on Wednesday, November 18, 2009
Gyong was born on October 8, 1956 in Seoul, South Korea to Yim and Seo Ok Hee. Gyong attended school in South Korea. She moved to Clyde, Ohio in March of 1983 and was married to Charles Cheek Jr. on April 9, 1983. Gyong was employed as a laborer at Whirlpool Corporation for six years. She is a member of Clyde Baptist Church and Korean Han Dol Methodist Church of Clyde.
Mrs. Cheek is survived by her mother, her husband Charles their four children Charles Cheek III of Fremont, Randy Cheek of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Tammy (Oryan) Smith of Fremont and Benjamin (Holly) Cheek of Phoenix, Arizona. Her four grandchildren: R.J., Ashlee, Aiden and Trinity survive as do two sisters and one brother living in South Korea and a sister living in Japan.
Gyong was preceeded in death by her father Yim and one brother.
