Delbert H. “Ted” Nycum, 76, of Clyde died at the University of Toledo Medical Center, on Wed., Nov. 4, 2009.

Mr. Nycum was born in Rising Sun, Ohio on September 9, 1933 to the late Humphrey J. and Gertrude I. (Nicewander) Nycum.

Ted was a member of the Harvest Baptist Temple, Clyde and was a Korean War Navy veteran.

Prior to retirement he worked at the General Electric in Tiffin. He was now a monitor at the YMCA in Fremont.

Survivors include his wife, Jettie (Lester) Nycum, whom he married on September 10, 1954; their two daughters, Debb Nycum and Cindi Wendler both of Clyde; three grandchildren, Holly Schamberger; Heather Frederick and Aaron Frederick along with eight great grandchildren. Two sisters, Pauline Swartz, Green Springs and Annie Crumm, Fremont also survive.

He was preceded in death by siblings; Nick; Charles; Paul; Richard; James Nycum and Marie Dayringer; Eldie Czako; and Mae Clouse.
