Bob was born in Port Clinton on July 26, 1949. He graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1968 and was in the 82 Airborne in the Army during the Vietnam War and later served with the Ohio National Guard.
He had worked at Castalia Trenching for over thirty years, and more recently for WR Farms.
He was affiliated with Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery; a former member of the Townsend Township Fire Department; and the Sportsman Parachute club. He enjoyed fishing, flying and skydiving.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter E. and Helen (Yeckley) Kistler; and this twin brother, William Kistler in 2005.
Survivors include three brothers, Charles E. Kistler of Vickery; Paul (Sue) Kistler, Monroeville; and Thomas Kistler, Fremont; and a sister, Mary Ann Miller (Jeff) of Vickery. Six nieces and nephews, John; Kristy; Megan; Jessica; Brian; and Mark also survive along with great nephews, Haden and Austin.
