Hazel M. Decker, 90, of Bellevue, died Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the Willows.
She was born in Thompson Township on January 20, 1919 to the late Boyd and Elva Musser. Her parents died when she was young and she was raised by Mr. & Mrs. Emmanuel Good.
Hazel graduated from Thompson High School in 1937 and Heidelberg College in 1941. She taught school at both Thompson and Bellevue schools. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Fireside.
On October 31, 1942 she married Charles K Decker and he preceded her in death in 1990.
Hazel is survived by her daughters: Etta J. Meisner (Paul) of Green Springs and April A. Bickel (Dale) of Clyde. Her sister, Helen Hutchison of Bellevue, sixteen grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren also survive; as do three daughters-in-law: Beth Decker, Susan Decker, and Jean Jinkinson, all of Bellevue.
In addition to her parents and Mr. & Mrs. Good, Hazel was preceded in death by her sons: Keith Decker, Kent Decker, and Dean Decker; and her brother, Lloyd Musser.
