Austin Lee Stalnaker, 20, of Republic, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 13, 2009.
He was born December 6, 1988 in Sandusky, Ohio to Gary Stalnaker and Karen (McClanahan) Stalnaker. Austin graduated in 2007 from Seneca East High School and was working for Chaney Construction. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Karen and Tim Coots of Republic; his father, Gary Stalnaker and his companion Paula Renfro, both of Clyde; his grandparents, Elmer and Marjorie McClanahan; his sisters Heather Hermes of Bellevue and Hayle Stalnaker (fiancé Eric Williams) of Tiffin; his step-brothers, Joshua (Emily) Coots of Bellevue and Scott Renfro of Elyria; and step-sisters, Stephanie (Chris) Frish of Tiffin and Alana (Matt) Muzik of Fremont. Three nephews, three step-nephews, and two step-nieces also survive.
