Alan was born in Upper Sandusky, Ohio on April 13, 1961 to the late Vincent A. and E. Louvierre (Smalley) Snyder. He graduated from Mohawk High School in 1979.
For ten years, Alan worked at Frye Foods in Tiffin and now was employed at the Whirlpool Corp in Clyde. He was a member of the Victory Christian Fellowship; the Clyde Eagles and had formerly been a member of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Noftz) Rohrer-Snyder whom he married on April 12, 2008; a son, Joseph Alan Snyder, Tiffin; step-daughter, Ruby Rohrer, Clyde; and brothers; James (Nancy) Snyder, Naples, Florida; Dave Snyder, New Riegel and Rick Snyder, Fostoria.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Snyder.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 14, 2009 from 1:30 PM -3:30 PM and 6-8:00 PM at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with additional visitation from 9:15 AM until the service with Pastor Duane Dunfee officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery, Clyde.
