| Melvin E. Pocock, 74, of Clyde died at Stein Hospice on Sunday, September 13, 2009.
Melvin was born on February 15, 1935 in Sandusky Co., to the late Floyd and Eunice Mae (Myers) Pocock. He graduated from Townsend High School in 1953 and retired from Whirlpool Corp in 1998 after 36 years. He was a member or the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde; a former member of the Clyde Moose and Eagles. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary (Farrar) Pocock, whom he married on July 10, 1967; and children: Ronald (Becky) Pocock, Clyde; Mary Kathryn Pocock-Barnett, Toledo; Rhoda Mae Pocock, Sandusky; Terry Lee Warnke-Kilgore, Mentor; Consetta M. Shroyer, Sandusky; Carl John Warnke, Jr. (Becky) West Virginia; Raymond C. Dunfee III, Tiffin; and Robert C. Dunfee (Deborah), Fremont. Thirty four grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren and two brothers, Irvin Luther Pocock, Raymond, Ohio and Myron K. Pocock (Betty), Clyde also survive. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn A. (Meyers) Pocock, whom he married on June 9, 1955 and she died on December 19, 1966; and a brother, Willard R. Pocock. | |
