She was born August 2, 1916 in West Lafayette, Ohio to the late Charles and Carrie (Platt) Walters.
On March 6, 1937, she married Rees Hackenbracht; he preceded her in death on April 2, 1994. She was also preceded by her parents; a brother; a sister and a twin sister.
Eleanor was employed by the Bellevue Hospital and had organized the Medical Records Department in 1955. She was working in that department when the hospital received its first accreditation with the Joint Commission. After retirement, she joined the Four Co. Young at Heart and was active in their craft group. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bellevue.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Richard (Cheryl) Hackenbracht, of Forest, VA; daughters; Barbara (Dr. Gary) Racey, of Worthington; Paula Rees and Cynthia Burns, both of Bellevue; ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
