| Harriet G. Young, 94, of Sandusky and Bellevue died on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at the Lutheran Memorial Home, Sandusky surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Young was born in Venice, Ohio on August 17, 1915 to the late William and Martha B. (Troike) Mack. She had been a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Venice for many years, before becoming a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bellevue when she moved to Bellevue. Harriet had retired from the F.W. Woolworth Co. following many years of employment. She had also volunteered at the Sandusky Senior Center for many years and enjoyed shopping and spending time with her beloved family. Her hobbies included embroidery, crocheting, and traveling. Survivors include her three daughters: Martha (Donald G.) Miller, Bellevue; Marsha (Donald O.) Nolte, Maumee, Ohio and Denise (Kenneth) Bash, Bellevue along with six grandchildren: Kevin Miller; Derek Nolte; Sundae Nolte; Scot Miller; Tracey Bash-Thomas; Guy Nolte; and ten great grandchildren; Olivia; Elliott; Sullivan; Rebecca; Guy; Taylor; Megan; Allison; Kyle; and Kaitlyn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert John “Deat” Young, whom she married on August 7, 1940 and he died on September 14, 1973; and three sisters; Genevieve Dixon; Esther Young; and Mildred Waldock. | |
