William was born May 7, 1926 in Riffle, West Virginia to Franklin and Ollie (Shaver) Shaver. He moved to this area after serving with the US Army in WWII.
He was a member at Harvest Baptist Temple and the Clyde VFW.
Mr. Shaver had worked for thirty-eight years at Whirlpool Corp. in Clyde prior to his retirement in 1991.
On July 24, 1948, he married Donna Heimbaugh and she survives as do their five children: Steve Darrel (Maryann) Shaver, Florida; Gregory Wayne (Valerie) Shaver, Canton; Andrew Lee Shaver, Mass.; Eric Vance (Tammy) Shaver, Huron and Sharon Fay (Sam) Mendoza, Clyde. Eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and one brother, Earl Shaver, Clyde also survive.
He was preceded by infant twin sons and four sisters and three brothers.
